Attendance for all five days is required to receive certificate of completion. Choices in conjunction with WRAP training will satisfy the training requirement for CRPS certification in the state of Florida under the Single Source Training Provider. The Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) designation is an entry-level credential for persons who use their professional preparation in combination with their lived experience to help others achieve and maintain recovery from substance use and/or mental health conditions.
This is a five (5) day training for a total of 30- hours providing practical and experiential training on how to work as a peer specialist. There are three different endorsements of lived experience that certified professionals can add to the credential:
This training satisfies the requirements for Florida Certification Board. Participant must attend all 5 days of the training in order to receive their certificate.
Who should attend?
Peer recovery specialists, community workers, family advocates and any individuals working with the behavioral health population.

The Peer Workforce Development ECHO Clinic provides professional development for Certified Recovery Peer Specialists (CRPS) new to the field. To support and expand upon core competencies, the Peer Workforce Development ECHO offers a bi-monthly, 1.5 hour long ECHO session with an inter-professional team of behavioral health and peer recovery specialists focused on enhancing the skills and abilities of peer specialists. This clinic includes an opportunity to engage in expert-led didactic presentations, present cases, receive real-time case consultation and recommendations from specialists, and become part of a safe, collaborative learning community of practice.
