Overdose is the leading cause of injury-related death in the United states – surpassing car accidents. According to the CDC, this past year had the highest number of overdoses ever recorded, and opioids -- primarily fentanyl -- is at the heart of the problem. Now, it is more important than ever to know how to recognize and respond to an overdose. Attendees will:
-learn about opioids
-signs of an overdose
-how to adminster Narcan
- Florida Laws
NOTE that Narcan is not provided as part of the training, but it will address how and where to obtain it.
This live, interactive training occurs from 10am - 11:30am. You will receive a Zoom link to this training at least 48 hours prior to the event.
